Car Odour Removal & Sanitisation - from £200

Duration: 5-6 Hours

Our Complete Odour Removal process is designed to eliminate smells at the source — not cover them up. After a deep interior clean and extraction of all fabrics, we treat the cabin with a peroxide-based cleaner to neutralise lingering bacteria and organic residue. Once the car is completely dry, we carry out a sealed ozone treatment. Ozone (O₃) reacts at a molecular level, breaking down odour compounds, VOCs, and airborne contaminants throughout the cabin and ventilation system. This method reaches where sprays and foggers can’t — into foam, ductwork, and unseen areas. The result is a clean, neutral interior with no chemical fragrance and no trace of the original smell. Ideal for smoke, pet, food, mould and other persistent odours.

Rubbish Carefully Removed

We begin by removing all visible rubbish and debris from your vehicle, including the footwells, seat pockets, cup holders, and under seats. This ensures a clean starting point for a thorough interior valet

We thoroughly vacuum the floor mats, carpets, and upholstery, brushing out dirt from deep fibres and tight areas. This process lifts embedded dust, grit, and hair, leaving your car fresh and clean underfoot.

Dashboard, centre console, door trims, and air vents are delicately dusted using soft brushes and microfibre tools. This step removes fine particles and allergens while restoring that crisp, well-kept cabin look.

We use Koch Chemie Pol Star, a pH-neutral cleaner with active foaming agents, to safely cleanse all interior plastics, trims, and dashboards. Its micro-lifting formula removes ingrained dirt and light oils without leaving a glossy or greasy finish — ideal for modern satin interiors. This approach ensures a factory-correct look with no chemical residue or stickiness.

We finish your interior with a light, clean-smelling odour eliminator that neutralises musty smells and leaves the cabin with a subtle, fresh scent. Perfect for keeping your vehicle pleasant and welcoming.

+ Interior Steam Cleaning

Pressurised steam is used to dislodge grime from surfaces and hard-to-reach areas like seat rails, vents, and tight seams. It sanitises without chemicals, cuts through grease, and softens stuck-on dirt that brushes can’t reach.

Upholstery is soaked with an oxygenated cleaner that breaks down oils and organic buildup. We then extract the loosened dirt and moisture using high-suction tools, leaving the seats visibly cleaner and properly dried

Fabric mats are saturated with a cleaning agent that breaks up compacted debris and neutralises odours. Dirt is pulled from deep in the pile with mechanical extraction — not just surface vacuumed.

Belts are cleaned with fabric-safe detergent to remove skin oils, odours, and marks without compromising their material. Railings are degreased and brushed out — removing gunk that traps moisture and grinds into metal.

We use a pH-balanced foaming solution that lifts out dirt from the surface grain without drying the material. It maintains the leather’s natural finish — no gloss, no oily residue, just a clean, supple surface.

All interior plastics are stripped of grime and fingerprints using an anti-static, residue-free cleaner. Once prepped, they’re dressed with a matte-finish product that restores texture and blocks UV without making surfaces sticky.

We combine air, steam, and soft-tipped tools to clean inside tight joins, seams, and trim gaps. This process removes dust, hair, and oily buildup that collects in hidden areas — the stuff most people miss entirely.

Everything in these touchpoint areas is emptied and cleaned with detail brushes and safe cleaners. Sticky spills, dust, and crumbs are removed from corners and seams — not just wiped from flat surfaces.

Rubber pedals are scrubbed with degreasers designed to cut through oil and shoe grime. We don’t just make them look clean — we restore grip and texture, which makes a difference in both feel and safety.

Before shampooing, all fabric surfaces — seats, carpets, belts, mats, and headliner — are pre-treated with an enzyme-based spot remover. This targets organic stains like food, sweat, and pet mess at the root. Enzymes break down the molecules so they don’t return.

Fabric surfaces are soaked and scrubbed using a biodegradable citrus-based cleaner that breaks down dirt, oils, and odour-causing residue. We use soft-bristled drill attachments to agitate the fibres and lift deep-rooted grime that manual brushing can’t reach. It’s effective, thorough, and safe for seats, mats, belts, and headliners.

All cleaned fabrics are fully extracted to remove loosened dirt and moisture. We dry every surface thoroughly — including beneath and between cushions — ensuring zero dampness remains. This is crucial before any odour treatment is applied.

After extraction, we apply a peroxide-based cleaner to fabrics to break down any remaining bacteria and organic residue. This isn’t for scent — it helps neutralise deep contamination before ozone treatment. Any odours from cleaning products or bacteria are fully eliminated during the ozone cycle, leaving the cabin genuinely scent-free, not masked.

The full cabin is fogged with a chlorine dioxide vapour and followed with targeted steam application. This treatment reaches into vents, foam backing, seams, and the headliner — areas that typical cleaners can’t touch — and kills bacteria, mould spores, and pathogens without damaging materials.

Once the cabin is completely dry and free from organic residue, we run a controlled ozone treatment. Ozone (O₃) is a highly reactive gas that oxidises odour molecules, bacteria, mould spores, and airborne contaminants at the molecular level. Unlike foggers, which are excellent for penetrating fabrics and applying targeted deodorisers, ozone chemically dismantles odour-causing compounds — including those from smoke, pet accidents, mildew, and spills — throughout the entire air system and cabin space.

The gas fills the vehicle and circulates through vents, upholstery foam, and inaccessible cavities, oxidising any remaining organic trace. When done properly, ozone treatment removes 100% of Odour. It is the final, non-negotiable step for vehicles requiring true decontamination.

After ozone treatment, the cabin air contains oxidised particles and residual ions that can linger temporarily. Our de-ionising process helps restore balance by neutralising charged particles in the air and on surfaces. This prevents static buildup and ensures that no ozone by-products remain suspended in the cabin environment.

While ozone handles odour removal, the de-ionising step finishes the job — resetting air quality to a neutral state and making the vehicle safe and comfortable to re-enter. It’s a low-profile but important part of closing out a deep sanitisation properly.

Roughly 45–60 minutes after ozone treatment, we wipe down every surface with a neutral, pH-safe cleaner to remove particles released during ozone breakdown. This ensures the cabin is safe to use and free from residue.

After all intensive cleaning, we finish by treating rubber seals and interior plastics with a non-greasy conditioner. This restores elasticity, reduces UV fade, and prevents squeaking or cracking after disinfection.

Replacing the cabin filter is strongly recommended after this level of treatment. We can source and fit it for a flat £10 labour fee, plus the cost of the filter (typically £20–30). This ensures the air system isn’t pulling lingering particles back into circulation.

If requested, we offer a light exterior clean as an add-on. This includes a paint-safe pressure wash, Snow foam Pre-Wash, Two-Bucket contact wash and streak-free drying. For deeper exterior work, we recommend pairing this with a Full or Deep Clean.

Questions about Car Odour Removal?

Popular Questions

No — if the cause has been removed. Ozone doesn’t mask smells; it breaks down the molecules that cause them. As long as all organic material is removed, the odour is gone permanently.

Yes, when done correctly. We only run ozone once the cabin is dry and clear of cleaning residues. After treatment, we ventilate and neutralise the cabin so it’s safe to re-enter.

We remove smoke, pet, mould, food, vomit, sweat, and other strong organic odours. If the source is in the vehicle and hasn’t damaged the materials beyond recovery, it can be removed.

We recommend it. The existing filter often traps odour particles and bacteria. We offer replacement with fitting for a small fee — most filters cost between £20–30 depending on the vehicle.

The full process takes 4–5 hours. That includes deep cleaning, drying, pre-treatment, ozone cycle, air neutralisation, and final wipe-down. The vehicle is ready to drive the same day.
