Gloss Enhancement Polish - from £220

Duration: 5-6 Hours

The Gloss Enhancement Polish is designed to restore clarity and depth to tired or dull paintwork. After a full decontamination process to remove bonded contaminants, we carry out a single-stage machine polish using a fine abrasive compound. This removes light swirl marks, hazing, oxidation, and other minor defects, revealing a sharper, glossier finish without compromising clear coat thickness. It’s not full correction — it’s refinement, designed to make the most of what’s already there. Perfect for daily drivers, well-kept vehicles that have lost their edge, or newer paint that needs a professional finish. Once polished, the paint is sealed with a protective wax to lock in the clarity and add a smooth, water-repellent finish.

If requested, we offer a light interior clean as an add-on for £30. This includes vacuuming, surface wiping, and glass cleaning. For deeper interior work, we recommend pairing this with a Full or Deep Clean.

Paint Safe Pressure Washing

We begin with a low-pressure, paint-safe rinse that lifts off loose dirt and contaminants from the paintwork and wheels without scratching. This preps the surface for a deeper, safer contact wash.

We deep clean the wheels, arches, tyres, and inner barrels using an acid-free wheel cleaner that safely breaks down brake dust, road salt, and grime without damaging finishes or clear coats. Specialist soft brushes are used to agitate the product and reach deep into crevices, behind spokes, and around lug nuts — restoring clarity and depth.

A thick layer of high-cling snow foam is applied across the vehicle, including wheels, arches, and lower panels, where the most contamination builds up. As the foam dwells, its active surfactants encapsulate and soften bonded dirt, lifting it from the surface without abrasion. This crucial stage reduces swirl marks and prepares the vehicle for a safe, contact wash.

We perform a careful hand wash using the two-bucket method to minimise swirl marks and micro-scratches. For this step, we use a pH-neutral shampoo to remove grease. Combined with microfibre mitts, the shampoo breaks down road grime without compromising waxes or coatings — ensuring a slick, safe, and thorough clean of every panel.

A hydrophobic sealant is applied after washing to protect the paintwork and boost gloss. This repels water, resists dirt, and keeps your car looking cleaner between washes.

The car is carefully dried using soft, plush microfibre towels and air blowers to eliminate streaks and water spots.

+ Alloys deep cleaned & detailed

We apply a non-acidic cleaner that reacts with brake dust and iron fallout, dissolving it safely on contact. Brushes reach into the barrels, calipers, and lug areas — restoring a clean, sharp finish to every part of the wheel.

We agitate road film, grease, and dirt from all door jambs and hinges using soft brushes and rinse-safe cleaners. The result isn’t just visual — it prevents buildup that traps moisture and causes wear over time.

Seals and trims are gently cleaned with a product designed not to dry out rubber or damage nearby paint. Steam is used where years of dirt buildup is embedded. Keeping seals flexible and preventing sticking.

Old dressing and embedded dirt are scrubbed off using a rubber-safe degreaser. Once dry, we apply a conditioner that absorbs into the tyre’s surface to restore colour and slow down weather cracking — no slick, greasy mess.

Once cleaned, exterior trims are treated with a UV-resistant dressing that bonds to the surface, restoring depth without shine. This helps repel water, resist fading, and adds contrast without attracting dust.

+ Full exterior decontamination (Tar remover, Iron Fallout Remover & Clay baring)

Paintwork is chemically and physically decontaminated to remove bonded grime, industrial fallout, and tar. Iron particles are broken down with a reactive cleaner, tar is dissolved, and remaining roughness is clayed away by hand — leaving the surface smooth and prepped for polishing. No polish should ever be applied without this step.

A single-stage machine polish is carried out to refine the paint and restore gloss. This process removes light swirls, hazing, and oxidation that dull the finish. We use a mild abrasive polish that cuts just enough to reveal clarity — without compromising paint thickness. Ideal for cars with tired or flat-looking paint that don’t need full correction.

Once polished, we apply a durable protective wax to seal in the finish. This adds a slick feel, water repellency, and additional gloss. It also helps reduce how quickly dirt sticks — keeping the paintwork cleaner for longer between washes.

Exhaust tips are degreased and hand-polished to remove soot, carbon buildup, and surface tarnish. The metal is left clean, reflective, and free from oily residue. A small detail, but one that makes a clear difference at the back of the car.

Questions about your gloss enhancement?

Popular Questions

Gloss enhancement is a single-stage machine polish that removes light swirls and dullness. Full correction involves multi-stage polishing to eliminate deeper scratches and defects. This service is about refining the finish, not chasing perfection.

It removes very light surface marks and hazing. Deeper scratches that catch a fingernail usually require multi-stage correction, which is not included in this service.

The gloss itself lasts until it’s dulled by contaminants or poor washing. We finish with a wax to help protect the result. With proper maintenance, the look can last several months.

Yes. We work within the limits of your paint, using minimal abrasion and safe techniques. The polish is tailored to refine, not cut aggressively.

Absolutely. Even new paint can have minor swirl marks or dealership handling damage. A gloss enhancement helps bring out clarity and depth that’s often missing from factory prep.
